I haven't been able to sleep the past couple of nights.... last night.. my chest was so wheezy I had to use the ventolin inhaler for the first time "post bronchitis". It seemed to help somewhat. I now find myself wide awake at 5.30am... hence this journal entry... I read something night before last as I surfed the web with only Chesty McPhlegm for company... and what I read reinforced my hopes and dreams that nice things happen to nice people... (I just hope I'm a nice person).... BC seemed to be having issues though and I couldn't post about it... kept getting the "Oops an error occurred" message.... Interstellar Lass.. a lady who reads my journal occassionally has fabulous news... Made me smile.. and cry... a little.... I hate having to cancel appointments at short notice... absolutely hate it.. if you make a committment to do something.. you do it.. whether its a meeting.. an appointment.. a lunch date or ten minutes for coffee... or just helping your friend scrape wallpaper in her living room and losing two nails in the process.... Moose for more
It was review day at HB's school yesterday. I'm so annoyed that I missed it... I couldn't get the damn car to start... even though my brother furnished it with a brand new battery yesterday... (I'm guessing thats my christmas present) AND STARTED THE CAR.... *mumbles*...
The fact that I have never missed a review day at school ticks me off even more and it was the first chance I had to meet HB's new tutor as well... I've been on the receiving end of so many "Sorry I can't make it for my appointment" telephone calls that I'm sure I know exactly how pissy HB's tutor was when she heard I couldn't make it. Then again.. its HB's school.. they don't seem to give a flying fart about most things.. so they probably don't give a damn that we didn't make it for review day either.
Big Bro's tried to fix the car but just couldn't get it started so in the end I had to call the RAC. Bless my big brother.... he put me on his breakdown recovery years ago... I've only used it twice.. once when I made the ultimate mistake of locking my car keys in my car (at my coffee stop so it wasn't so bad.. I was comforted by a free danish pastry and as much coffee as I could drink whilst I waited...)
Nice Mr RAC man fixed the car up.. seems the engine had been flooded with all the attempts to get it started. He also said it probably didn't need a new battery... I probably flooded the engine when I tried so hard to get it started in the freezing cold on Monday.. then trying againt to get it started Tuesday and Wednesday as well just compounded the situation....
heres hoping I can get it going this morning... its piddling down..
